Terms of Service

INKO.RUN is an interactive storytelling creation and sharing platform that provides:

• Interactive story creation tools, including plot editors, character management, and worldbuilding features
• AI-assisted creation features to help creators generate content and optimize narratives
• Story publishing and sharing capabilities for creators to showcase their work
• Interactive story playback experience with branching narratives and multiple endings
• Public resource library providing reusable characters, worlds, and creative assets
• Community features including comments, likes, follows, and more

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service features at any time without notice.

2.1 Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to register an account
• Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
• Each user may only register one account

2.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately if you discover unauthorized use of your account
• We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access

2.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or other legitimate reasons.

3.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create and upload. By publishing content on the Platform, you grant us:

• A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license
• To display, distribute, and promote your content
• Including but not limited to showcasing and marketing both on and off the Platform

3.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for content you publish and warrant that:

• You own or have obtained necessary rights to the content
• The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• The content does not violate laws, regulations, or these Terms
• The content does not contain harmful, illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringing material

3.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, reject, or remove any content, but have no obligation to do so. We may use automated or manual methods to detect violations.

3.4 AI-Generated Content

You have usage rights to content generated using our AI features. However, please note:

• AI-generated content may not be subject to copyright protection (depending on applicable law)
• You should review and edit AI-generated content
• You are responsible for published AI-generated content

All rights to the Platform and its content (excluding User Content) belong to INKO.RUN or its licensors, including but not limited to:

• Platform software, code, design, and interface
• INKO.RUN trademarks, logos, and brand elements
• Official assets and templates provided by the Platform

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit Platform content without written permission.

When using the Platform, you may not:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship with anyone
• Upload content containing viruses, malicious code, or other harmful components
• Interfere with or disrupt Platform services or servers
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Platform without authorization
• Collect personal information of other users
• Engage in commercial activities (unless authorized)
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent Platform security measures
• Post spam or engage in malicious marketing
• Infringe others' intellectual property rights

When you publish characters, worlds, or other assets to the public resource library:

• You grant other users the right to reuse and modify those assets
• Other users may incorporate your assets into their works
• You retain ownership of the original assets
• You must ensure published assets do not infringe third-party rights

Consider carefully before publishing to the public library, as it may not be fully retractable.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Accuracy or reliability of results
• Quality or suitability of AI-generated content
• Quality, accuracy, or legality of User Content

You use the Platform at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Under no circumstances shall INKO.RUN and its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for:

• Loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption
• Damages arising from use or inability to use the services
• Any claims or damages arising from User Content
• Actions or content of third parties

Even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or via email. Continued use of the services after changes indicates acceptance of modified Terms.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of the latest Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
